Read Play Grow

Read, Play, Grow is a six week program delivered to families on an individual basis.

It is a combination of Let’s Read, Brain Box, CLAN’s Play and attachment Resource Boxes, Toddler Tucker Time and a supported Library visit. The concept for this program arose from the strong need in the City of Swan for more prevention work in early literacy and for parents to have more exposure to and encouragement to read to their children at an earlier age.

The Read, Play, Grow program uses existing engagement strategies that have been successful in other programs under the Community Impact Strategy. These include home visiting, gifts of books at visits, Parent Empowerment and links to community.

The target audience are Parents or Caregivers with Children aged 0-4.

Funding and support provided by United Way WA enables the Read, Play, Grow program to be run by CLAN Midland in the City of Swan area.

United Ways throughout Australia and the world are being called upon to provide leadership and support to the community.
