Kath Snell

Chief Executive Officer

CEO Kath Snell, joined United Way WA in June 2017. A proven leader in the charitable sector, bringing a wealth of experience having worked as CEO in the community care and volunteer sector. Brings passion and enthusiasm in her endeavours to work collaboratively and with respect for all, with experience in change management, strategic thinking and marketing. A belief in partnerships, relationship building and shared outcomes. Has held various Board positions, including Deputy Chair of Volunteering WA, and is currently Deputy Chair of national body, Australian Community Transport Association. A recent graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Tim Allan

Corporate Partner Manager

Tim has extensive experience working within the education and not-for-profit sectors, particularly in management and operational roles. At United Way WA Tim is responsible for building the corporate volunteering portfolio, developing and extending Workplace Giving programs, assisting corporate partners to develop community investment opportunities as well as developing and strengthening United Way’s relationships within the Corporate and Business sector.

Justine Roberts

Community Impact Manager

Justine’s role includes working with lead Community Partners in disadvantaged areas to change community conditions in Education, Income and Health. Prior to United Way, Justine spent 11 years working as an Anti-bias trainer and at Parkerville Children’s Home as a Case Manager, Manager of the Residential Care Education program and also running early intervention programs for children and families at risk in the wider community.

Julie Keene

Appointed to United Way WA Board 2014

Chief Financial Officer role at HBF has overall responsibility for providing effective strategic financial leadership and financial governance to enable HBF to achieve its vision, strategy and business objectives. The role is responsible for a team of around 30 staff, and HBF’s annual revenue budget is in excess of $1 billion. Julie was appointed as Chairperson December 2014

Trevor Lovelle

Appointed to United Way WA Board

Trevor’s experience in policy development, strategic planning, commercial acumen and stakeholder relations have been developed in a career that has spanned over 25 years. He entered the complex world of aged care at the end of 2013, at a time of significant change, and is enjoying the challenge of providing industry solutions for the unique issues faced by providers in delivering aged care to older Australians. He is currently the WA Divisional CEO and Executive Director of the Not-for-profit industry peak Aged & Community Services Australia (ACSA). Trevor holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Business (BBus) and a Graduate Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). He is a passionate member and spirited supporter of both the West Coast Eagles and Perth Glory.

Ray Glickman

Appointed to United Way WA Board in 2012

Cross-sectoral CEO with significant operations, budgets, staffing, property developmentand risk profiles. Extensive Board Chair and Director experience with significant and diverse organisations. Highly developed leadership qualities and skills in strategy, HR, property and governance. Multi-award winning leader, Significant educational background and Fellow of AICD and AIM. Regular conference presenter on industry, leadership and governance issues.

Jade Furness

Appointed to United Way WA Board in 2014

Jade is the General Manager of Provider Relations and Health Services at HBF. She manages health benefit claims, worth over a billion dollars annually, as well as the health programs and services directly delivered by HBF. Prior to HBF, Jade worked in the advertising and fast moving consumer goods industries. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in marketing and management.

Jonathan Bowler

Appointed to United Way WA Board 2014

In the role of CFO and Company Secretary at CCIWA Jonathan’s responsiblities include leadership, strategy and management of Finance and business services supporting CCI and AA, including Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Treasury, In house Counsel, Shared Services, Risk Management, Procurement, Information systems and Technology and Credit Management.

Elizabeth White

Appointed to United Way WA Board in 2014

Elizabeth has significant diverse leadership experience in operational, compensation & benefits, superannuation, employee share plan, shared services and organisation design. Key achievements in strategy development & implementation. Twenty seven years of domestic and international experience with a global resources organisation, with particularly emphasis on leading design and change management in global processes & systems implementation and ongoing emphasis on cost savings & productivity improvements to maintain competitiveness.

Matt Rutter

Matt Rutter has over 18 years’ experience trading and marketing food and food commodities worldwide. Matt is currently the General Manager of Marketing and Business Development for the world’s largest rock lobster exporter, Geraldton Fishermen’s Cooperative. Prior to his current role, Matt held a number of senior positions with Australian export firms, notably as Head of Trading at Australia’s largest grain trader, CBH and with a US based multinational. Matt has built a reputation for developing new markets for food products across the globe and has a solid grounding in strategy and corporate governance. Matt has held a number of NFP non-executive directorships, including Chairman of Volunteering WA, Chairman of Volunteering Australia and President of the Rottnest Channel Swim. Matt holds an honours degree in agribusiness marketing, a graduate diploma in applied finance and investment and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Andrew McLean

Appointed to United Way WA Board

Andrew is a partner in the Perth office of Herbert Smith Freehills, a leading international law firm. Andrew specialises in corporate finance, and acts for both financiers and corporate borrowers on project and corporate finance transactions, primarily in the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws, and has completed a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance.
